CODE OF ETHICS

The National Association of Realtors® (NAR) Code of Ethics, adopted in 1913, was one of the first codifications of ethical duties adopted by any business group. The Code ensures that consumers are served by requiring REALTORS® to cooperate with each other in furthering clients’ best interests. All active Realtor® members must complete 2.5 hours of ethics training within three-year cycles. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®. Learn more about NAR's Code of Ethics and Professional Standards.

Current Cycle:

Cycle 8 - January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2027

Members who do not complete this requirement by December 31, 2027, will be suspended from membership and lose their rights and privileges associated with their membership.

Check Your Ethics Status

To check the status of your Ethics completion you can log in to the OSCAR Member Portal. Once you log in, you will see the Code of Ethics information under your name on the dashboard. You will see the current Code of Ethics cycle complete: Yes or No. If yes, then Ethics has been completed for the current cycle. If No, then you still need to complete an Ethics course before December 31, 2027.

If you have completed a Code of Ethics course since January 1, 2025, please email a copy of the course completion certificate to education@osceola-realtors.com.

If you have any questions, contact the membership department at education@osceola-realtors.com.
