More than 50 million Americans have disabilities, and the aging baby boomer population will continue increasing the need for accessible products and environments. Commercial real estate customers must understand ADA requirements, as any business serving the public is considered a ?public accommodation? and must comply with ADA regulations when selecting a location.
Objectives:
- Provide guidance on how alterations and renovations impact 20% rule.
- Understand the scope of coverage for the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the different types, with emphasis on the Title III public accommodations.
