11/12/26 - Be the Change: Fair Housing and You 2CE - Learning Level: Beginner

November 12, 2026 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

This course Fulfills 2 hours of Fair Housing.  


All active members must take Fair Housing class once every 3 years. The applicable dates are the same for all Realtors irrespective of when they join. The current cycle began January 1, 2025 and ends December 31, 2027. All active Realtor members must take a Fair Housing class sometime between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2027. Failure to meet the mandate is a violation of membership requirements and will result in suspension of membership until the requirement is met or until membership is automatically terminated. This class meets the NAR mandated requirement for completion of Fair Housing.

Ever wondered what it would be like to have a perfect tenant? One, who pays their rent on time, never complains, causes no damage, and leaves the property in perfect condition upon vacating? You may have never come across a tenant like this, or if you do, they are few and far between.
Take this class and explore your relationships with tenants, as property managers handling management on behalf of the landlord/owner. We will discuss some of the major problems that property managers face and how to handle them. We will also explore some examples of real situations and in workgroups, find solutions to them.
 
Objectives:
  • Better understand tenant and landlord expectations in regard to their relationship
  • Recite the sections of Chapter 83 that offer minimum guidelines for expectations
  • Improve tenant communications through various methods: phone, email, text, etc.
